Vintage Batwing Leather Coat

Another one for the archives of 80s leather at its most sculptural — dolman sleeves balloon out from the shoulder and taper sharply to a fitted cuff, while vertical leather straps run the length of the front like braces, framing the button placket rather than functioning as a closure. The pointed collar carries two slotted buttonholes as a purely decorative detail, a small flourish typical of the era's love of hardware for hardware's sake. Cut long, past the hip, with curved patch pockets low on the body, this reads more coat than jacket — roomy enough to layer chunky knitwear underneath.
